A credential of the Ministry of Health handed to country manager of Global fund

Ambassador L.Purevsuren, Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations in Geneva, received Allan Nfamba, Global Fund Country Manager for Mongolia, and Dipanjali Sapkota, officer in charge of the Country coordinating committee, at the Permanent representation. On the 28th of the January 2022, Allan Nfamba and Dipanjali Sapkota received the credential of the Ministry of Health of Mongolia, inasmuch as their valuable contribution to the national strategy, program, and response to combat AIDS/ HIV and TB. The Global fund was established in 2002, in order to decrease morbidity and mortality of worldwide HIV, TB and malaria. The Global fund typically raises funds from donor governments, the private sector, and invest to fight against HIV, TB, and malaria for programs to strengthen systems for health across more than 100 countries. The fund money comes from 92% from donor governments and 8% from international corporations and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Since 2003, the Government of Mongolia has been implementing a Global fund supported HIV/AIDs, TB, and health system strengthening projects, and has been successfully cooperating to expand inter-sectoral cooperation and to upgrade diagnoses, treatment, and monitoring of HIV, TB.
