PR contracts out project implementation to relevant institutions called Sub-recipients (SR).  The Global Fund supported project has had over 40 SRs since 2003, including governmental and non governmental organizations, international agencies and private sector organizations. Institutions have to comply with project management, financial management, M&E and procurement capacity criteria in order to be selected as SR. Currently, 12 SRs and 2 sub-sub-recipients are working for the implementation of Global Fund supported projects on HIV/AIDS and  TB in Mongolia.
